The Waiting Game

Soon the puppy's will be here. The kids and I are so excited! Joby is feeling a little needy right now. If I am home she just wants to be right by us all. She sleeps in late, and seems very uncomfortable. I feel bad for her. She has all the symptoms that I had when I was nine months pregnant. But she is being SPOILED rotten. Tonight I start checking her temp to check for signs of labour. I will be taking her everywhere with me this week so I can keep a eye on her. (I better enjoy my sleep this week. I know soon I will be getting up soon with those cute little baby's) Friday is c-section day if they don't come before that. I posted some pictures of her belly.
Hi its Landon, my mothers second in command I guess (who do you think is gonna take care of the puppies as my mom is gone, not my dad and my siblings are to little.) So lets hope I get payment, what do u think? Well the thought of a whelping box popped into my moms head. if you are like me who had no idea what the heck a whelping box was. Then I will give you a definition. The whelping box or nesting box is designed to keep the puppies safe from out side dangers by containing them in a box. So we made the bow 3' by 4' and the sides 17" tall. My dad and my neighbor built the box, and me and my brother finished the box. Even though he got lazy through the middle of the first quarter of the job and left, leaving me to finish. After finishing the staining part of the job, I start to put the protective coat on top, and I lose my brother. Running through the house I have no idea were he is at. I look everywhere in his room. Ran up and down our street. I dont know were he went. But here comes my dad and he had him in his car. My brother got in his car right in front of me. But I was not paying attention......Of course. and they drove away right in front of my eyes. So now I know he is safe I finish my job and now we have a whelping box.

OC Pet Expo

This weekend we joined OC Raw Dog and OC Kennels at the 2010 Orange County Pet Expo. We found some cool new products, met a ton of wonderful people and had a blast!

For those of you not familiar with raw feeding check out www.ocrawdog.com. Our dogs have been Raw Dogs for over a year now and it has changed our lives. They have cleaner teeth, super shiny coats and best of all... their stools are half of the size they were on kibble!

We believe that this is what nature intended for our four legged family! If anyone is interested in feeding raw and has questions please feel free to ask them in the comments section of this post.
